
Portal of Cancer Epidemiology in the Czech Republic
The Portal of Cancer Epidemiology in the Czech Republic provides access to data and analyses on cancer epidemiology in the Czech Republic. The content of the portal has been developed in close cooperation between the Institute of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic (IHIS CR) and the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University (FM MU) under the professional guarantee of the Czech Society for Oncology and other professional societies of the Czech Medical Association. The main source of data on cancer epidemiology in the Czech Republic is the Czech National Cancer Registry; other necessary data inputs are obtained from the Czech Statistical Office.

21 May 2025: Update of the National Cancer Registry data until 2023
The data in the interactive analyses of the SVOD portal have been updated to 2023. Similarly, this updated information is available in the data summaries and open datasets.
In 2023, over 95,000 malignant neoplasms were diagnosed in the Czech Republic. The most common are non-melanoma skin neoplasms (over 30 000), followed by prostate (over 9 200), female breast (over 8 100), colorectal (over 7 100) and lung (over 6 700).
